At FUGITIVEZ, protecting your privacy is just as important to us as helping protect your dog. We believe you should always understand what information you choose to share, why we need it, and how we safeguard it.

 

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information when you use the FUGITIVEZ website, mobile application and related services.

 

Information You Choose to Share You may choose to provide your name, email address, dog profile details, photographs of your dog, nose print photographs, optional microchip and council registration details, reminder information, accommodation host information and any other information you voluntarily submit.

 

Dog Biometric Information Dog nose print photographs are used solely to assist with biometric identification and reunification. They are never sold or used for advertising or marketing purposes.

 

Payments All payments are securely processed by Stripe. FUGITIVEZ does not collect, store or have access to your payment card or banking information.

 

Location, Maps and Notifications With your permission, Apple Maps and Google Maps help provide location-based services.

 

Push notifications may be used for lost dog alerts, sightings, rescue updates, reminders, bookings and important service announcements.

 

Community Features Lost dog, sighting and rescue reports intentionally share limited information needed to help reunite dogs safely with their owners. The information shared is of the dogs photo, medical issues, name, age and any behavioural issues to help the rescuer understand how best to secure the dog safely.

 

Accommodation Hosts Accommodation Hosts operate independently and may collect or retain information necessary to manage bookings under their own privacy policies. Please review the host's privacy policy before providing additional information.

 

Sharing Information We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only where necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, protect safety, investigate misuse, or with trusted providers including Stripe, Wix, Apple, Google and cloud technology providers.

 

Data Retention If you delete your account, we will remove or de-identify your personal information from our active systems unless retention is required by law. Accounts inactive for six (6) months or more may be deleted together with associated profile information.

Backup copies may persist temporarily before secure deletion.

 

Cookies Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve functionality, security and user experience. Cookie preferences can be managed through your browser.

 

Privacy Compliance We aim to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and other applicable privacy laws.
